“My mom was a teacher. I loved to help her with her classroom decor and grading papers. I enjoy working with children and helping them to become strong, happy individuals.”
Keri Amorosa wanted to work at CtR Catholic School because she heard wonderful things about Fr. Sean Horrigan, pastor of CtR, and Mr. Courtney, principal of CtRCS, - and she lives all the way in the Galleria area! CtRCS is excited to welcome Keri as its first school counselor.
Keri grew up in Midland, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 1997 from Texas A&M University. She also received her Master of Science in Kinesiology in 1999 from Texas A&M. She moved to Houston after college graduation in 1999. She later completed her Teacher Certification in 2003 at Houston Community College. She completed her Master of Education in Counseling with a focus in Professional School Counseling in May 2018 from University of St. Thomas in Houston. Keri was a teacher for five years and then stayed home for 13 years with her kids before going back to school to get my master’s in counseling. Most recently, she finished internships at West Oaks Hospital and Strake Jesuit College Preparatory High School.
Keri lives in the Galleria area with her husband, Dominic. They have been married since 2002 and he is a teacher and basketball coach at Strake Jesuit. They have three children: Jackson, Kaydee and Sorin, who attend St. Michael Catholic School. Keri enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, movies, going to Strake Jesuit basketball games and hanging out with her family.
